About Us

The Centre for International Cooperation – CFIC (formerly the International Relations Office - IRO) is a central international division of Palacký University Olomouc (UP), which further consists of individual offices, i.e. Office for Partnerships, Office for Mobility, Welcome Office and Office for Degree Study Programmes in Foreign Languages.
Within this framework, CFIC provides information and pieces of instruction related to partnerships, to the study and traineeship mobility, to funding options for students and staff alike, to degree studies in foreign languages and to many other related areas. CFIC, with its offices and the Office for Mobility in particular, is the key central coordinator for the Erasmus+ programme, which provides information about exchange programmes within the European Union, UP interuniversity collaboration and other national, international and global programmes as well. It also supports Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships and Capacity Building projects, where UP has been coordinating multiple significant European consortia within the scope of Erasmus+ KA2 projects.
In the field of internationalisation, Palacký University Olomouc was awarded with significant and prestigious awards and prizes. In 2021, these were the national (DZS) awards for Erasmus + Committee Work and Preparation; Erasmus + Higher Education; Central European Exchange Program for University Studies and the DZS Category of Individuals. Now, it coordinates the UP Internationalisation Strategy 2021+ agenda and pays attention to the UP engagement in international associations and consortia, e.g. EUA, Aurora, Magna Charta networks.
