Visiting UP partner universities in the Republic of Korea

19.-28. 10. 2018

During the last days in October 2018 our colleagues from the International Relations Office visited South Korea. In the meetings with 5 Korean universities they discussed together with the local representatives the exchange mobilities of Czech and Korean students.

Summer School Central Europe: History & Culture - Architecture & Society 2018

Monday, July 23, 2018 saw the official kick-off of the Summer School Central Europe: History & Culture - Architecture & Society. This summer school was organized by the central International Relations Office in co-operation with the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, and hosted 77 students of 8 different nationalities. The four-week program finished on August 19, 2018.

3rd Erasmus+ International Staff Week 2018

During the week 18. 6. - 22. 2. 2018, International Office of Palacky University Olomouc held The 3rd Erasmus+ International Staff Week 2018. The event was attended by colleagues from Israel, Turkey, Morocco, Serbia, Poland, and Italy.

Summer School of Central Europe and European Integration

20. 06. 2018

June 18 marked the start of the first instalment of the Summer School of Central Europe and European Integration. This summer school is organized for the partner university, Southwest University from Chongqing, China in collaboration with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Thus Palacky University Olomouc now hosts a group of 25 students and two tutors  from both universities, participating in this two week event. 

Palacký University Olomouc welcomed a delegation from Tianjin Foreign Studies University

On June 12, 2018, Palacký University Olomouc welcomed a delegation from Tianjin Foreign Studies University. After both parties presented their university, a discussion on the mutual academic collaboration followed. Tianjin Foreign Studies University was impressed by the comprehensive nature of the partner university and interested in further intensifying mutual collaboration in the field of language studies, notably Czech and Chinese. In addition, both Universities discussed the possibilities of short academic programs such as summer and winter schools.

24. 4. 2018

Delegation from NU UK visited 3 faculties - Fac. of Theology, Physical Culture and Helath Sciences, where they discussed the cooperation in the area of joint research, mobilities and cooperation in doctoral degree programmes.

Christmas Party 2018

On December 18th, 2018, the rector of Palacky University Olomouc, prof. Mgr. Jaroslav Miller M.A., Ph.D.,  together with the International Relations Office held a Christmas party for foreign employees and PhD students affiliated with Palacky University.

International fair in Astana, Kazakhstan

The International Relations Office represented Palacký University at the 16th Kazakh International Exhibition "Education and Science of the XXI century 2018", where we presented the study offer to the future potential students.

MEET UP 2018

26. 09. 2018

The International Relations Office participated again in the second year of the popular students’ event MEET UP 2018. We have presented our work, discussed with studnets and distributed informational materials to those interested in international mobilities.

Orientation Week for Erasmus+ & Exchange WS 2018/2019

10. - 14. 9. 2018

As every semester we have had the pleasure to welcome our new international Erasmus+ & Exchange students in the second week of September. This time the International Relations Office in cooperation with ESN UP prepared a practical and diverse programme for almost 400 students. 

Student exhibition at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA

Marek Vašut, a graduate student of History at the Faculty of Arts, introduced a poster exhibition Blindfolded: Europe on the Road to the Great War in the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA on September 22, 2018. 

The celebratory opening was attended by the representatives from UP International Relations Office, Faculty of Arts, UP as well as by other representatives from several institutes in Cedar Rapids and the general public. 

The business trip in Cedar Rapids also provided opportunities for planned academic negotiations with Nate Klein, Vice President of Mount Mercy University and prof. John Chaimov, Director of Off-Campus Study, Coe College.
